This small watercolor represents a view of a city on the banks of a river. A bridge in the middle ground connects the city, whose buildings run to the water's edge. A woman wearing a bright white shirt with a blue dress and a brilliant red scarf stands in the foreground. A boat covered by a red-and-white striped canopy, poled by a man in the bow, approaches the near shore.

The print depicts a walled town situated on top of a hill. Farmland, with assorted trees and enclosures, as well as telephone poles, stretches out below the walled village, especially in the middle and lower right portion of the image. While the lower left foreground remains largely empty, a body of water, with a boat, is visible in the top left background. The hilltop town clusters around a tower, which is circled by birds. Clouds are lightly indicated, as is smoke rising from several chimneys in the village.<br />

This drawing depicts a landscape with two figures against a tree in dark wash in the lower left foreground and a faintly washed mid-ground scene of a relief of a crowd of figures on an architectural element. An arch of an aqueduct and a faint castle tower somewhat in ruins appear in the background surrounded by lush foliage. <br />

The print depicts a three-story building with a large tower. The building is made of stucco and brick, with several balconies. The tower features a clock on its front face, and an arcaded belfry. An ornate spire crowns the structure. Cypress trees stand along the front of the building at the edge of a drive and yard. A somewhat stormy-looking sky casts strong shadows of the trees against the building. <br />
